MY STORY

My name is Berit and I'm from Denmark.

Ouch Away is my ‘dream come true’ of helping people to get relief of pain and aches.

I have always liked massaging, so it is out of pure passion that I have taken the education as a professional Remedial Massage Therapist.

I have suffered from lower back pain for many years myself, and as I received massages during my education, one of my peers relieved my pain for fours months by giving me a two hours treatment.

Now, I have obtained equally great results for many of my own clients, and that is what makes me absolutely love massaging. I am working 5 days per week for City Cave doing massages there, but you can now also have treatments in my home at Logan Reserve.

Services

I offer Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage. and Hot Stone Massage. I have also undergone training in special headaches, trigger pointing, deep tissue massage, reflexology, chair massage, pregnancy massage and Thai massage.

Treatment STYLE

My treatment style in Remedial Massage is very results orientated but always from the perspective that the treatment should be pleasurable at the same time.

I use a lot of trigger pointing, deep tissue massage and give some relaxing Swedish massage after to make the muscles relax and only remember the last caring massage they were given.

For Relaxation Massage and Hot Stone Massage I’m using long calming and flowing strokes.

PET LOVES

When visiting my home clinic in Logan Reserve you might also be lucky enough to meet my very friendly dogs Dobby and Alfie who will most likely greet you when they hear you arrive. Normally, they will be kept away from my clients though.

EDUCATION

Q Academy is one of the highest ranking academies teaching Massage Therapy Diplomas for many reasons.

• The HLT2015 Diploma of Remedial Massage certification is a 19 months long course.

• There are more than 200 hours of clinic treatments incorporated in the education.

• The Anatomy and Physiology part of the education is extensive.

• I attended the Gold Coast clinic for my practical training and assessment, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

• The staff at Q Academy have amazing skills and knowledge and are experts at passing this on to their students.
